Well, here we go. We are fast approaching (IMHO) the most divided time in the United States since the Civil War era. Like it or not, it is coming like a freight train with the promise of irreparable damage through the national fabric of “unity.” In truth, the tension has been brewing for a while; we have simply added a healthier dose of emotion to the equation. With the leak of the Supreme Court document hinting at an overturn of Roe vs. Wade both sides are posturing for a great battle.
If indeed this were to be their ultimate decision, the present Court would be admitting that those justices in 1973 were wrong (culturally pressured?) in their interpretation of the Constitution as having granted rights to women to freely secure an abortion–but, it’s not there. It was never there. It was never law; even Ginsburg insinuated that Roe was an over-reach by the Court. This redirect, again, if that leaked decision holds would not outlaw abortion in the States. What it means is that the legality of the issue would be moved to the power of the state–legality issues would be decided on a state-by-state basis. So, for progressive ideology this is not the “apocalypse” they are promoting.
Even so, conservatives and Christians alike have been longing for this day having understood that abortion is an offence: an offence against the life in the womb, against the woman herself, against this nation, and most notably against God’s good order (You will not commit murder?). Those who would fight to promote abortion as a right, are indeed endorsing murder; they are on the wrong side–they just don’t get it.
Progressive ideology is toxic and, among its other errors promotes that the right to an abortion (fabricated as it may be) is a major pillar of freedom here in the United States. Anyway, abortion is a tenet in the “religion” of the left. In reality it is murder. It is cowardice, committed over 60 million times since Roe vs. Wade was carelessly “decided.” People will be up in arms and violence may ensue, but I would doubt to the level of such a massacre as has taken place on such a sacred battleground as the womb.
What it means for the true Church of God is that our work is not done. Abortion will likely be forbidden or restricted in half of the states. In the others it will be greatly accepted, promoted and encouraged, even to the point of using state funds to import mothers (not “birthing people”) from other states who are seeking abortions. And so, we continue to fight for God’s good order. And, we represent those millions of fetuses who would have affirmed that abortion be brought to an end, had they been given a chance to weigh in.
Pro-choice advocates should not have an issue with me. They don’t even have an issue with the justices on the Court. They need to deal with the Constitution and what it truly says. Our decisions here on Earth, our actions serve to honor God or not. People will be held accountable. So, ultimately, Pro-Choice advocates have an issue with God as abortion is contention with God’s moral order, and He stands as the ultimate Judge.
“Those who contend with the LORD will be shattered;
Against them He will thunder in the heavens,
The LORD will judge the ends of the earth…” (1 Samuel 2:10).
Overturning Roe is monumental. Overturning any decision is a big event, especially at the level of the Supreme Court… but it is necessary–they have done it several times before. Now, we know a lot more about life in the womb since the seventies, but God already knew all about that; didn’t He?
The “Pro-Choice” side may be naïve, misled, angry and in some cases simply evil. But, until they come around to embracing God’s good order of life–they are, and will continue to be, … on the wrong side.
So, here we go. And… this one is going to leave a mark.
Thank you for being bold and faithful enough to put this out there! You encourage and inspire us to unite and rally together as brothers and sisters in Christ to stand up for what is right and Holy! 💕🙏🇺🇸
